The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF), a nonprofit organization working to build the future workforce of the graphic communications industry through educational scholarships, is pleased to announce scholarships for the 2024/25 academic school year have been granted.
PGSF scholarships were awarded to 144 students attending 65 universities, colleges, and technical schools across the United States. This year $560,000 was awarded with an average scholarship of over $3,900. Sixty-eight students’ scholarships were renewed as they stayed in their program and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better. New scholarships were awarded to 76 new full and part-time students.
“Working with PGSF students is a pleasure and a privilege," said Debbie Bohan, Administrator of PGSF. “I strive to provide support and assistance to aid young adults as they navigate their post-secondary education and transition into the workforce. A highlight of my year is notifying our scholarship recipients of their renewable awards. I receive numerous heartwarming emails and letters of gratitude describing the impact their PGSF scholarship has on themselves, their families, and their futures. Without a doubt, the work we do changes and enriches lives and it is an honor to play my small part in this.”
This year PGSF received over 1,000 applications for scholarships. “We were certainly happy to provide the scholarships that we did, but it would be so much better if we would be able to fund even more,” said Jeffrey White, Director of Development for PGSF. If you would be interested in donating to help our future students and leaders in the industry, please consider a donation at www.pgsf.org.
In addition to scholarships, PGSF provides funding through an annual Educational Grant Program and Design Contests for high school and college students. For information on scholarships, contests, grants, and ways to donate, visit www.pgsf.org.
