Editor’s Comments:
Machine Price: After taking a look at this proposal and the accessories included, the price really is not too far off. I would say that a good street price would be around $100,000. I am assuming that the Graphic Arts Premium edition is included, even though it is only listed on one version of the accessory lists you sent me. You will want to make sure it ends up on the final order.
You note that the selling price is about $105,000 or so, and that your price is pretty close to a decent street price. Since the end of the fiscal year is approaching for Ricoh, your dealer may be able to find some promotional money to further improve your pricing, or possibly get you a slightly better lease rate.
Service: $0.035/click is a very competitive color service price, especially if fixed for five-years. I agree that the black and white price seems high. I think something in the $0.006 to $0.007 range should be doable.
Finance: Assuming that this is a 60-month FMV lease, it looks like the lease factor is around .020. That is within the normal range, but is a little bit on the high side. Instead of a deferred payment plan, I would rather see a lower lease factor for the entire lease term. I have not seen too many lease rate promotions lately, but it never hurts to ask.
