Reprographics professionals who want to learn how to keep their businesses a vital part of the modern AEC world should mark October 11-12 on their calendar and register today for the APDSP 2017 Convention. The event will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton, 300 Canal St., New Orleans, which is just four blocks from the location of the SGIA convention, so attendees can attend both events in one trip.
The focus of the event will be Job Site University, a day-long program that will introduce attendees to the technology present on modern job sites and give them strategies for profiting from that strategy. The bottom-line: Reprographics shops already have solid relationships with the designers, builders, and others on the job site, so it makes sense to capitalize on those relationships to grow your business.
Free Welcome Reception
To kick off the event, everyone involved in the reprographics and related industries is invited to a welcome reception the evening of October 11. The event, generously sponsored by KIP, will be free, but all attendees are asked to register in advance. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will help get everyone in the mood to renew acquaintances and make new connections.
Job Site University
The main event of the convention is the day-long Job Site University on October 12. This event, led by Keith Cox of Synnex and Ron Perkins of Jobsite Tech Group, will include panelists and presenters from various companies using and providing technology on modern job sites. Among the topics covered may be laser scanning, virtual reality, immersive technologies, interactive technology, mobility solutions, and more. Click here to read a recent article about laser scanning, and click here to read a Q&A about jobsite technology with Ron Perkins. (Future editions of APDSP Today will include more articles about job site technology and what attendees to Job Site University will learn.)
Various APDSP Vendor Members will also be on-hand during the convention to discuss their products from table-top displays.
Early-Bird Saves Big
The full registration price for the convention is a modest $199 for members and $250 for non-members, but the Early Bird Price is an even better deal: $125 for members and $199 for non-members. The Early Bird Price will be available until August 11. Multiple attendees from the same business save even more - the second and subsequent attendees receive $25 off.

Vendor Sponsor Opportuntiies
APDSP Vendor Members have several opportunities to share in the networking and learning at the convention. Sponsors are being sought for the meals and breaks on October 12. In addition, Member Vendors may reserve a table-top exhibit space for $350. Contact Managing Director Ed Avis, ed.avis@apdsp.org, for details.
