Mr. Steve Mueller of BPI-Color in Milwaukee, WI was awarded the distinguished 2015 RSA Leadership Award at the recent Reprographic Services Association shareholder meeting held in New York City. Steve has inspired his peers at the RSA with his knowledge, willingness to lead by example and unbounding energy in promoting the RSA and the industry. His dedication is witnessed in the countless hours he has devoted in encouraging and supporting RSA programs and willingness to step forward as a leader and mentor to so many RSA members. In 2001 when the RSA was formed with the merging of RDA and ASA Steve became a charter member of the RSA having been with the RDA prior to that.
Steve’s career with BPI, which will soon be celebrating its 60th year in business, began in high school when he worked filling in for vacationing employees. Like so many in the industry Steve grew up in the family business and in 1990 purchased BPI from his father, Richard Mueller, and his partner Tom Brandt. Since that time Steve has directed BPI through multiple technology and market dynamics and grown his business from a single shop into four locations that serve the greater Milwaukee, Madison and Wisconsin markets. Steve’s philosophy has always incorporated hiring and retaining people that want to be a part of a team that works like a family. He believes this consistency and employee satisfaction are critical to the company’s success and future potential. Steve’s latest achievement includes the transition and rebranding of Blueprints Inc. to BPI Color, where they are now specializing in digital large and small format color production and covering the gamut in product and service offerings. Throughout Steve’s tenure at BPI, he has challenged the organization to embrace technology changes in order to bring the latest and best value to our customers and business partners. Steve’s strong belief that participating and contributing to industry leading associations like the RSA has contributed to the successes of the organization.
Congratulations go out to Steve along with a BIG “Thank You” for all the years of dedication and support he has provided to the RSA and the industry.
