Kyle Batsford, director of operations for Palomar Reprographics in Carlsbad, California, has been nominated to fill the vacancy on the APDSP Board of Directors.
Batsford began working at Palomar when he was 17 years old in 1994. He began as a delivery driver for the firm, which is owned by his father Robert. He then worked his way up in the firm, including stints in both production and sales. He became operations manager in August 2013.
“I’m loving and hating the challenges of running the company,” he says. “It’s definitely an exciting time. We never know who is going to walk in the door.”
The formal election for the open board position will occur on November 4 in Chicago. The Board of Directors will be meeting that day, and any other member interested in voting in the election is invited to the meeting, which will begin at 8 a.m. in the Warwick Allerton Hotel. If you plan to attend, please email Ed Avis at ed.avis@apdsp.org.
