The IRgA Board of Directors met during the ERA/IRgA Convention in Baltimore and discussed goals and future plans.
Present at the meeting were Managing Director Ed Avis, IPresident Kim Long, president-elect Paul Fridrich, immediate past president John Davis, and board members Tony Militano and Tim Horn. Michael Shaw, president of the ERA, was also present.
The board discussed future plans, such as potential new ways to raise money, find new members, and better serve members. Options for future conventions and related events, such as executive retreats, were discussed and no conclusive decisions were made.
Avis presented his report, which shows that membership currently includes 597 reprographics firm members and 68 vendors. Avis suggested asking all members to re-register this year, so that the list can be cleaned up and so that the organization can get a handle on active membership.
Avis noted that there are currently 11 vendor sponsors, including five gold and six bronze. They generate a total of $21,000 revenue.
Avis reported that traffic to the IRgA website has grown significantly. In the past 30 days 2,276 unique visitors came to the site. This compares to about 900 in June, the first month after the site was redesigned.
Long presented the financials, which show that the association has a healthy financial reserve, though new efforts to raise funds are needed.
It was decided the next meeting would be held in September in Chicago.
