Data is essential to running a business, but in the reprographics industry, there is little specific data about profitability, sales, pricing and other key business metrics. APDSP is changing that with the 2021 Financial Benchmarking Survey. The survey for the study was released in early June, and all reprographics firm owners are invited to participate. This study will create benchmarks for:
- revenue per employee
- revenue per salesperson
- average sales by category
- average cost of goods sold by category
- return on assets
- current ratio
- average price of a D-size print
- and much more.
When possible, these metrics will be further broken down by leaders vs. laggards, size of firm and geography.
The more reprographics firms that participate in the study, the more accurate the numbers will be. That's why APDSP is encouraging every firm owner to complete the survey by clicking here (you can also download a paper copy of the survey by clicking here, as we recommend that you fill it out by hand first). By completing the survey, you will receive a FREE copy of the report. This is the only way you can receive the report -- it will not be sold or otherwise given out. Only companies that participate in the study will receive the data.
Please understand that your individual company data will not be released in any form to anyone - it will simply be aggregated with the data of other firms to create the benchmarks. The only people who will see your data are Graphic Arts Advisors, who are doing the analysis and writing the report.
If you have your basic financial data available, such as your QuickBooks profit & loss statement and balance sheet for 2020 or your last fiscal year, you should be able to answer the questions in the survey in 15-20 minutes.
